Question: What substance has the most caffine?

  1. Well naturally pure caffeine has the most caffeine – we can make 100% pure caffeine in the lab.

Aside from that, if you’re talking about a natural thing in everyday life, it’d have to be coffee. When we make a cup of coffee we get some of that stuff out into water and drink it.

If you mean something synthetic, then there are a bunch of energy drinks you can buy now that have caffeine put in them.

Tea has quite a bit of caffeine too. There are other things in coffee and tea which act on your body to make the effect of caffeine greater or smaller, and these can vary the effects a drink of tea of coffee have on you.

Just Googled this and found this list:

    Quite a bit of variation.

I remember when I was in America, there was a guy I was talking to who had just started his own company and was working really hard and having to stay up to finish paperwork and he was drinking espressos and in between he was eating chocolate covered espresso beans. Not recommended for a healthy lifestyle.

  2. If you’re looking for something to keep you awake all night, then you can buy caffeine tablets which contain quite a lot of the stuff. Caffeine increases alertness and reduces fatigue, but it can have some unhealthy side effects.

There’s plenty of caffeine in coffee (which is where it was first isolated from) and energy drinks, and quite a bit in some types of tea.

There’s been a lot of debate in different sports and the Olympics about whether caffeine should be banned. The stimulant effects may give athletes an unfair advantage, but it seems that the World Anti Doping Agency has decided that there are just as many negative consequences, and caffeine is now off the list of banned substances.
