We don’t, really. We don’t have to remember a lot of facts. Often we can look stuff up – like the periodic table in chemistry. I don’t need to remember that. I just look it up when I need it.
Science isn’t about knowing stuff, it’s about asking questions, and thinking up experiments to answer those questions. It’s *a way of thinking*.
So when you study science don’t worry about remembering stuff. Instead think of a question, and then try to think of something you can do to answer that question. If you can do that, you’re a scientist.
