I remember your log in name – you asked some good questions in the chat today!
The honest answer to this question is that the opportunity just came up. I hadn’t really thought about it much before I had to do an assignment on it at uni and then I wanted to know more about it. So I talked to the teacher who set the assignment and he said I could do some work in his lab. And that’s how it all started.
I sometimes think that it must have been fate (not really, I’m just kidding) – I liked lizards since I was very young, my mum is a midwife and my dad studied genetics, so maybe I was just meant to study the genetics of live birth in lizards! Corny eh?
