Probably the human? We are, after all, an animal, and we seem to be pretty good at outsmarting other animals in order to survive and basically take over the world.
If you want a non-human animal though, I’m not sure which is the smartest. The apes, dolphins and elephants all seem to be capable of complex thought, which means that they must be quite clever. But I think there are a lot of other very intelligent animals too. Crocodiles have been around much longer than humans and are very crafty creatures. Dogs can learn tricks and sense how you’re feeling. Octopus (Octopie?) can play, solve problems, and have good memories.
